25” to 52” in height. Most of these fountains hold 10 to 35 pounds of chocolate. Home chocolate fountains are typically made of plastic and contain 2-4 pounds of chocolate.
Many fondue fountains are not capable of melting chocolate directly
in the fountain base so chocolate must be melted first in microwave or double boiler.

Melted chocolate is transported to the top of the fountain by a
pump or corkscrew auger.
Commercial chocolate fondue fountains move chocolate to the top
