In 1991, DR developed and produced the first Commercial Chocolate Fondue Fountain that has become such a prestigious interactive centerpiece at special functions. Early production units are still being utilized today. DR, and other chocolate fountain manufacturers continue to provide fountains that appeal to U.S. markets, some providing upgraded features and lower prices.

Due to the chocolate fountain's popularity, manufacturers of commercial chocolate fountains have grown. Some manufacturers are innovative and some are not. Some manufacturers provide prompt and low cost repair services and some do not. Longevity is always one factor in selecting a chocolate fountain manufacturer but new product features that appeal to the U.S. entertainment market is equally important.
